Dr. Bachir Taouli specializes in Body MRI and cancer imaging. He is Professor of Radiology, director of Body MRI and vice-chair for translational research at Icahn Mount Sinai, New York. He is a clinician scientist with expertise in advanced MRI of the abdomen and pelvis, particularly in liver disease and liver cancer. He has been named “Distinguished Investigator” of the Academy of Radiology Research, Fellow of the ISMRM, fellow of SAR (Society of Abdominal Radiology), fellow of ICIS (International Cancer Imaging Society) and fellow of SABI (Society of Advanced Body Imaging). He has lectured internationally and authored over 295 peer-reviewed manuscripts mostly on Body MRI. He has mentored several students, residents, fellows and postdocs for research.
